TOUR THE HISTORIC DUDLEY HOUSE

Immerse yourself in the past and the charm of this historic home as you explore its rich architecture and hear stories of early Visalia.

Saturday, March 22, 2025

The beautiful mansion at Main and Giddings Streets was the west entrance to the little town of Visalia when it was completed in 1917 by prominent businessman Benjamin Dudley for his bride, Helen Brown. It was impressive with stained glass windows, mahogany inlayed floors, big fireplaces, and dazzling paneled top-to-bottom dining room.

Learn about the little secrets of the home, the pioneer Visalians who lived there, and the restoration efforts to bring it back to its original magnificence.

Visalia was once famous for its “Smallest Park in the World” maintained by the Dudley house gardener.
