Visalia's History

This jewel of the Central Valley is the oldest city between Stockton and Los Angeles. Visalia was founded in 1852 and is the county seat of Tulare, Located in one of the county's most productive agricultural regions, Visalia plays a vital role in the state's economy. The city is also known for its proximity to three national parks; Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon.
